Daily Table Tackles Food Waste and Makes Healthy Food Affordable for the Poor

When did you last throw food into the trash that was probably still perfectly good to eat? Did you know 1/3 of the food in the WORLD (and 40 percent of food in the US) gets thrown out ?

Doug Rauch is taking action against such wasteful behaviors by launching a new grocery store, “Daily Table,” in Dorchester, Massachusetts. Ex-President of the California-launched national grocery store “Trader Joe’s”, Rauch will prepare and repackage such perfectly good food at rock-bottom prices. Food banks have been doing it for years.

Care about food security for the world? Do something, even if it’s just to sit down and figure out why you threw that food away and how to avoid doing more of the same.
