“The Transformation of Poverty, Philanthropy, and Healthcare in Late Antiquity” will be the theme focus of the eleventh biennial Shifting Frontiers in Late Antiquity conference to be held at the University of Iowa on March 26-29, 2015. Invited keynote speakers will include Professor Ramsay MacMullan, Dunham Professor Emeritus in History and Classics at Yale, and Professor Susanna Elm of the University of California, Berkeley. Scholars and advanced graduate students are welcome to submit abstract proposals; the deadline for proposals is 15 November 2014. Learn more about the conference.
